Study on the Method of the Design of Experiment Integrated with Simulation for Constructing the Integrated Circuit Metamodel

Abstract:The design and optimization of integrated circuits (IC) often need the direct and simple relation of the parameters with specifications,called the IC metamodel.The method of design of experiment (DOE) integrated with computer simulation is used to construct the IC metamodel.The 4 experimental design types and 3 models that are applied in the construction of the metamodel are discussed.Through constructing the metamodel of static power that is the main specification of a Low-power integrated operational amplifier,it is found that the method of Latin hypercube sampling integrated with Kriging modeling can provide the most accurate approximation model based on the model error analysis.
