Abstract:The traditional vector quantization encoding algorithm is associated with large search range and long encoding time.A fast codeword search algorithm based on inequality for vector quantization is presented in this paper.The algorithm introduces variance inequality and triangle inequality into NOS,which effectively reduces the codeword searching range.Experimental results show that,the algorithm developed in this research can reduce the encoding time with the same PSNR.
