Abstract：SAMA is a new concept to spread spectrum packet radio network and random multiaccess.Seeing that variance of packet length is important to performance of packet network,both analysis and simulation schemes for selection of optimal packet length in SAMA system are presented in this paper based on performance analysis of SAMA.Schemes are generalized for common DS/SSMA packet network easily.
