A mutual coupling compensation method is proposed and applied in the dipole array.The mutual impedance is calculated by the reciprocity formulation and EMF method respectively base on the current distribution obtained by the characteristic basis function method.Significant compensation performance can be obtained compared to conventional open-circuit model.Also a new definition of mutual impedance proposed recently is investigated theoretically.It is shown that this method is equivalent to our approach

which is derived from conventional method.
