摘要:A series of empirical expressions are presented for calculating the propagation constant and characteristic impedance of the dominant modes in unilateral, bilateral and antipodal finlines. For the most oft-used finlines. results calculated with these expressions agree, generally within ±4.5 percent, with the values given in [2], [4] and [6]-[10].

摘要:The statistical properties of the adaptive maximum entropy spectrum estimator (AMESE) are studied using both analytical and computer simulation. The ROC (receiver operating characteristics) which describe the detection performance of the AMESE sufficiently are obtained. It is fairly convenient to design the adaptive filter using these ROC. The comparison between the AMESE and the adaptive line enhancer shows that they are nearly identical in detection performance.
摘要:A bilinear deviation theory for analog circuits is discussed, and an algorithm for the identification of single and multiple faults is proposed, with this algorithm, both hard and soft faults can be located and evaluated from insufficient measurements by solving linear algebraic equations, and the fault testability is independent of the selection of test points. A comparison is made between this algorithm and the other two algorithms with a numerical example.
摘要:New computing formulae for the discrete total square integral are derived by means of bilinear transformation. Simple and practical formulae of noise bandwidth for several main sampled phase-locked loops based on the integral expressions and the important relationship of the formulae are given.
摘要:A printed Chinese character’s quadrantal terminal number and moment of inertia can be used as the unique features for its recognition. Based on this principle, a recognition system has been developed by means of neighbor category compatibility and multi-level classification. The system has a high differentiating power for similar characters, thus meeting the need for a high capacity recognition system for printed Chinese characters. The experiment with 6,000 Chinese characters gives satisfactory results.
摘要:The coupling of electromagnetic power into a rectangular conducting cavity Containing a Conducting wire through a slot is investigated. The equivalence theorem is applied to divide the problem into two parts. A set of functional equations is obtained, and then reduced to matrix form via the method of moments. The general formulas are simplified with narrow-slot/thin-wire approximation. Numerical results indicate that resonance exists at some frequencies of incident electromagnetic wave.

摘要::The failure mechanism of oxide-coated cathodes in TV-tubes with different life-span is analysed by IMA and SEM. Results obtained show that the distribution of excess Ba changes from being uniform to non-uniform with time, and excess Ba also appears in the surface layer of the oxide coating. It is found that the back-diffusion phenomenon of excess Ba occurs in active Ni. The total number of excess Ba or Mg in the cathode decreses evidently with lifespan. All these are reasons for the decay in emission of the cathode.
摘要:Direct measurements of electron and hole leakage over the heterobarrier in In-GaAsP/InP lasers are carried out by using a novel laser-bipolar-transistor structure. Experimental results indicate a significant amount of electron leakage under normal laser operating conditions, while hole leakage is found to be negligible. The electron leakage increases continuously with increasing injection, and is sensitive to the ambient temperature. By elimi-lating the electron leakage, an increase of about 30K in the characteristic temperature T0 is possible. The experimental observations can be explained by a model which takes the electric field and carrier heating effect into account. Following this line, a new laser structure is designed and realized, resulting in a low threshold current (-20mA) and a reasonable high T0 (-90K).
摘要:The breakdown characteristics of capillary tubes are investigated experimentally and theoretically. Using a 6301 type standard calibrating system, the breakdown characteristics of capillary tubes are measured in six gases (H2. N2. He. Ne. Ar, Kr) within the pressure range from 10-1 to 20 torr and they are compared with those of the parallel electrode systems and of the small-area electrode systems free from wall effects. The results show: (1) the breakdown voltage of a capillary tube is always higher than that of the ideal parallel electrode system, provided the spaces between electrodes are equal; and (2) Paschen’s Law is no longer valid for the case of capillary discharge. A theory considering wall effect is presented, and the breakdown conditions are derived. Theoretical and practical results are to some degree in agreement.

摘要:I1-cosh window function is a good approximation of Dolph-Chebyshev, whereas its expression can be given explicitly in time domain as well as in frequency domain. Therefore, it is more convenient for use than Dolph-Chebyshev. Its properties are investigated. Special stress is placed on its applications for the design of filters. In comparison with other designs, say the design based on using Kaiser window or iterative optimization techniques. I1-cosh design is nearly optimal, and requires only a few calculations. Finally, two practical examples of SAW filters based on I1-cosh window are illustrated.
摘要:The evolution of momentum spreads in gyrotron and the saturation mechanism caused by it are investigated by means of the quasi-linear theory. The expressions of output power, efficiency, gain, saturation time and cavity length are obtained, where the effects of the initial longitudinal and trasverse momentum spreads are taken into account. Numerical analysis is also carried out.

摘要:With D2O-CH3I, D2O-CH3F, CH3I-CH3F and D2O-CH3I -CH3F gas mixtures as the active media of an FIR laser, FIR laser lines emitted from these gases are obtained from the same laser only by tuning the pumping lines of a TEA-GO2 laser. It is confirmed that the gas-mixture FIR laser is a new feasible scheme for obtaining to multiwavelength output in FIR band from the same FIR laser.
摘要:High quality InP Schottky barrier can be obtained by inserting a thin native oxide grown with the anodic oxidation technique, with a barrier height φB greater than 0.70eV and an ideality factor of about 1.1-1.4. An electron trap of 0.62eV is found in the bulk and epitaxial crystals by using the DLTS technique. The barrier height increase can be explained with the generalized model slightly modified.
