摘要:This paper analyzes the two-dimensional (2-D) harmonic retrieval problem from a new viewpoint which is different from 2-D spectral estimation. It is shown that 2-D sinusoids in white noise can be modeled as a special 2-D ARMA process. A time domain analysis method is proposed for resolving several 2-D sinusoids in white noise.
摘要:Maximum likelihood sequence detection (MLSD) of digital signaling subject to intersymbol interference (ISI) and additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) is considered. A new and simple bit error probability bound is obtained, especially for the low and high SNR regions. In addition, in the case of infinite-length ISI, the performance loss due to the ISI tends to zero for physical channels.
摘要:A "spectral expanded BEM" is introduced to calculate the dyadic Green’s functions in the slot cavity and in the space out of waveguide. An accurate numerical calculation on the slot aperture electrical field and equivalent admittance is obtained. The agreement between calculations and experiments is good.
摘要:The radiation characteristics of the periodic dielectric grating antennas with various groove profiles are investigated by combining the multimode network theory with the rigorous mode matching procedure. As a result, the radiation calculations of the curved profile grating antennas are ended by the analysis of the multilayer rectangular periodic structure. In such a way, the effects of groove profile on the performance of the grating antenna are systematically studied and some useful guidelines for the design and fabrication of the dielectric grating antennas are thereby suggested.
摘要:In a two-wire full-duplex data transmission system, echo and intersymbol interference (ISI) are the principal impairments. Traditionally, these two impairments are cancelled separately. This paper develops a new model in which echo and ISI present in such a system can be eliminated simultaneously. The novel features of the proposed model include that: (1) a new low-complexity configuration of echo cancellers is introduced, resulting in the numbers of the required multiplications and the tap coefficients being 25%-37.5% and 16.7% -25% of those of the traditional configuration, respectively; (2) an adaptive cancellation, instead of the inverse filtering technique is applied to elimination of ISI, so that the dependence of the convergence behaviors of equalizers on the channel characteristics, a problem common to the traditional method for elimination of ISI, is removed.
摘要:Based on Huang’s maximum likelihood estimating algorithm, the estimation recognition is simplified in this paper, therefore a new fast statistical approach for edge detection is obtained. It is demonstrated theoretically and experimentally that the new approach is ten times faster than Huang’s algorithm, and the final output is improved.
摘要:The phase-locking concept was brought to the attention by documents[2] and [5], and was introduced analytically by Dewan for the first time, but no circuit or hint was proposed to develop the phase-locking mode. In this paper, two new pure phase-locked oscillators and the experimental results are presented. Because the new pure phase-locking has a lot of superb performances, it will find wide use.
摘要:It is proved in this paper that there are [(n-1)/2]! groups at most for positive-component-valued solution in n-order normalized elliptic filters (EF). This theory is verified by CAD results. The sensitivities of EF transfer function to the component values are also discussed, and a tenth-order normalized EF is given as an example It is pointed out that the parameters of references [1~3] are not all of the lowest sensitivities.
摘要:By studying the unit-normalized scattering matrix of the Darlington representation of a given impedance, in the paper we present a general expression relating the complex-normalized scattering matrix of the n-port network to that of its augmented n-port network normalizing to the n 1-ohm resistances, where the Darlington equivalent network may either be reciprocal or nonreciprocal, thereby clarifying the differences among the scattering matrices normalized to different impedances.
摘要:This paper concentrates on search of powerful codes for TCM. We verify and modify the search procedure developed by Ungerboeck[1]. More sophisticated results are obtained. The results indicate that the best TCM codes with maximum free Euclidian Distance (ED) are more than one for a given constraint length and modulation scheme. The TCM codes with the simplest structure are listed in this paper. We also search the powerful TCM codes for minimal encoders, and find that in some cases the minimal encoders can reach the maximum free ED while the systematic encoders with the same parity-check polynomials can not.
摘要:In this paper, the fluid-flow approximation method is introduced to analyse the performance of a packet video/voice/data integration communication system. At first, fluid -flow method is used to analyse the queueing performance of the pre-emptive priority packet video/voice queueing subsystem. Then the queueing behavior of the lower priority data queue-ing subsystem is developed. We find out that the analytical results agree well with the simulation result and are accurate enough to meet the needs of engineering purposes. The analytical procedure is very simple and it’s easy to get the numerical results.
摘要:Crystallization phenomena of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si: H) films during in situ annealing process are investigated by transmission electron microscope (TEM). The micromorphology images are observed in terms of dynamic method. Using image processing technique, the sandbox relationship graph of sample’s microphotograph under different annealing temperatures (450℃ and 800℃) is obtained. The results show that under some conditions, the microstructure formed in the a-Si:H film has characteristic of fractal structure. The fractal dimension of the microphotograph is calculated. The relationship between the structural phase transition of the amorphous silicon film and the fractal structure is discussed.
摘要:This paper proposes a method of mode conversion in thin film waveguides without any external field. The changes of dielectric tensor, mode propagation constant and mode coupling coefficient arising from lattice mismatching of YIG thin film grown on a 〈111〉 GGG substrate are theoretically analyzed. The results show that in normal mismatching of the YIG thin film with high quality of optical property the mode conversion can be obtained.
摘要:The sum-of-outer products net is a very useful neural network model. Under the assumption that the vectors used for construction are orthogonal, the fixed points and radius of attraction of the net are analysed. Some interesting results are obtained.

摘要:The paper describes a new class of fully integrated active elements obtained by means of MOS transistors, MOS capacitors and MOS op-amps. These new elements include GIC, inductance simulation and FDNR. The constructions are based on Riordan prototype circuit and the linear characters are achieved by using four matched MOSFET’s versions. Consequently, the novel fully integrated MOS-FET-C continuous-time filters are produced.
摘要:A fast and efficient sorting algorithm for the computation of the first-and second-order cofactors of network functions on multiphase switched-capacitor (MSC) networks is presented by introducing the concept of the augmenting indefinite-admittance matrix in this paper. A method that the symoblics are encoded by prime for generating the symbolic functions of MSC networks is also presented. The symbolic or half-symbolic network functions in which no term implemented occurs can be obtained.
