An inclined aperture antenna based on an open-ended rectangular waveguide was analyzed using FDTD method in conjunction with the time-domain near zone to far zone transformation.The antenna is tapered at the opening on both narrow sides of a rectangular waveguide,while the wide sides are maintained.The deffraction field of the fringe is calculated using FDTD and the field pattern excited by the dominant mode is validated.
