Analysis of Extending the Field-of-View of Focal-Plane Imaging System at Millimeter-Wavelengths
Expanding of Field-of-view for small F-number millimeter wave focal plane imaging is analyzed in this paper.Ray tracing method is used to calculate the spot pattern for different lens section plane
and then lens section plane of available dielectric material is optimized to reduce aberrations
so as to expand the field-of view.Vector aperture field method
which combines ray tracing and diffraction integral
is used to compute the diffraction field distribution in the focal plane of the imaging lens.Good agreement between calculation results and experiments has been found.
