Detecting Dim Small Targets in Image Sequences Based on Wavelet Transforms and Genetic Algorithms
A fast algorithm is proposed for tracking low observable small targets in a digital image sequences.Wavelet transforms are used for image filterting to improve SNR.Tentative tracks are formed based on genetic algorithms which avoid target tracks missing.Coding and genetic operation are designed for this problem.Target trajectories are confirmed by truncated sequential probability ratio test.The simulation results show that it can efficiently detect and track small targets with size as small as 2×2 and SNR<2.
