Smart antenna and other spatial filtering technologies provide promising improvementation to the future wireless communication systems.The successful implement of these technologies demands detailed research and analysis of the temporal and angular characteristics of the wireless channels.This paper introduces some simulation work about the temporal and angular spread characteristics in typical microcell environment using ray tracing technique.The simulation results are divided into two parts:Line of Sight(LOS)'s and Non-line of Sight(NLOS)'s.According to the temporal research method
the author uses average angular spread and rms angular spread to describe the characteristics of angular spread.The detailed descriptions of angular spread in typical microcell environment are given finally.
