Abstract
An adaptive transmission scheme based on PSAM (Pilot Symbol Assisted Modulation) and Adaptive Trellis-Coded M-ary QAM (ATCMQAM) is proposed in this paper.In the following
an analytical model of data capacity in TDMA/FDMA cellular systems is developed for the performance simulation of the scheme.It is shown by simulation result that data capacity of ATCMQAM is 1.8 times that of fixed modulation with 4PSK employed if estimation error is within 3dB and normalized moving distance in a packet period is shorter than 0.4λ with λ being carrier wave length.
