Experimental Study of Broad-Band and Wide-Angle Circularly Polarized Patch Antennas
A new method for the design of broad-band and wide-angle circularly polarized (CP) microstrip patch antennas is presented in this paper.Based upon the proximity coupling balance-feed by utilizing capacitively probes
the 2 V standing wave ratio(VSWR) and wide-angle 3dB axial ratio (AR)(in the 45°conic airspace ) bandwidth can be achieved more than 20%.The measured results show that the wide-angle 3dB axial ratio and 2 V standing wave ratio bandwidth of the patch antenna designed by this method is 26.33%(VSWR≤2
wide-angle AR≤3dB).So this design technique is correct and practical.
