In order to solve the key technical problem that how to efficiently buffer high-speed traffic under the architecture of optical bus switching network
this paper proposes an output-queued two-stage packet buffer structure and related LBF-MMA (Longest beffer first-memory management algorithm) based on the combination of SRAM (Static radom access memory) and DRAM(Dynamic random access memory) technology.Analysis shows that such technique gives a good solution that meets both high speed and large capacity requirements in packet buffering for the optical bus switching network.
