Mathematical Modeling and Signal Processing in Computer Simulation for Biological Neural Networks
A biological neural network composed of a great amount of neurons interconnected by synapses has the ability to process information and generate a specific pattern of electrical activity. It is significant to the biology to cognize the mechanism for generating and transmitting its information. As there exists complicated nonlinear feedback inside it
it is very difficult to do experiment on it from its microstructure.Through analyzing its biophysical and biochemical structure and integrating information science into biology
its interior structure and exterior properties can be understood by use of the computer simulation. Therefore
this computer simulation system was designed and realized. It deals with the equivalent circuit
mathematical modeling
data representation
signal processing
and parallel computation
etc.It has got practical applications in lots of institutes and universities. In this paper only the mathematical modeling and signal processing were described.
