This paper focuses on optimized design of Multi-Granularity Optical Cross-Connect(MG-OXC)node base-on two-stage(waveband and wavelength)multiplexing scheme and dynamic algorithm(including routing
wavelength assignment and traffic grouping)for Multi-Granularity Optical Networks(MG-ON)
under dynamic traffic conditions. The performance of our MG-ON
scenario
is evaluated with numerical experiments under NSFNET and ARPANET topology
compared with OXC-based Wavelength Routed Optical Networks(WRON).The results show that the performance of MG-ON can be as good as WRON with proper design.
