Experimental Study on the Effective Permittivity of the CH3COOC2H5 Saponification Reaction at Microwave Frequency
One of the most important studies in microwave chemistry is to obtain the effective permittivity of chemical reaction. In this paper
a new type of open-slotted coaxial line sensor was employed to measure the reflection coefficients of reaction system
and then the effective permittivity of reaction was calculated by using genetic algorithm (GA).The results show the changes of the real part of effective permittivity with time agree with L.Onsager's and Debye's theory. The relationship between the imaginary part of effective permittivity and temperature is very complicated because the polarization loss and Ohm's loss vary with temperature at the same time. The changes of the real part of effective permittivity with time are opposite to the results described by L.Onsager's theory.
