Wireless position location has received considerable attention in CDMA cellular radio networks over the past few years.The process of calculating the location estimate can be views as consisting of two parts.The first part provides estimates of location parameters and the second part is the algorithm that uses the parameters to determine the MS's position.Based on the methods of location estimating and location parameter estimating

the development history of current and future challenges in wireless position location are reviewed and location estimating techniques for mitigating the influence of non-line-of-sight(NLOS) propagation are discussed.
