Maximum Entropy Method for Angle Estimation in Wideband Monopulse Tracking Radar
In order to suppress angle glint in monopulse radars system
a maximum entropy method for angle estimation in wideband monopulse tracking radar is presented.Spectrum widen of difference beam echoes due to the pattern modulation is investigated.Basing on the relations between the spectrum widen
center of target angular motion and waveform entropy
a novel angle estimation method by maximum waveform entropy searching is presented
and an improved method to reduce computational complexity is given later.Compared with high resolution angle estimation methods available
the novel method performs more conspicuous in angle glint suppression.Simulations show the effectiveness of the new method.
