A robust VI-CFAR detector based on ordered statistic (termed OSVI-CFAR) is presented.In homogeneous environment
the OSVI-CFAR has a low-loss compared with the VI-CFAR based on mean level (termed MLVI-CFAR).In clutter edge environment
the false alarm performance of this detector is almost consistent with the MLVI-CFAR detector.But in the situation that the interfering targets are located in reference window stochastically
the detection performance of the proposed detector is improved greatly.So it is more robust than the MLVI-CFAR in practice.Finally
some important properties of the OSVI-CFAR detector are indicated.
