Application Study on Chaotic Theory for Modern Channel Coding
The phenomenon of Chaos can be observed extensively in both nature and human society. The fundamental characteristic of chaotic behavior is its unstable trajectory
and the sensitive dependence on initial conditions
so it is also referred as the butterfly effect. How to exploit the beneficial aspect of Chaos has become an important part of nonlinear science. In this paper
the issues of application of Chaos theory to error control coding are addressed. As the interleaver and parity-check matrix respectively play a critical component in Turbo codes and LDPC codes
we conduct the research on the application of chaotic theory to the design of them.We present the improved designing methods of interleaver and parity check matrix according to the immanent randomness of the Henon chaotic model for Turbo codes and LDPC codes respectively.Simulation results show that the Henon method can yield higher coding gain compared with the traditional Turbo codes and LDPC codes
showing that Henon chaotic model a good tool for constructing good codes.
