Radar high-resolution range profile (HRRP) is sensitive to amplitude-scale
which is overcame through simply normalizing the amplitude-scale to unit energy by most available HRRP radar automatic target recognition (RATR) approaches.In light of the tangent distance
we propose two algorithms to improve HRRP recognition performance using amplitude information.Experiments based on measured data shows our algorithms have a larger average recognition rate than that of the regular method by about 5 percentage points.
