We report a method for designing self-equalized dual-passband filters by using complex transmission zeros. The filter is realized by utilizing open-loop microstrip resonators.Using full-wave EM software
a 12-pole high-temperature-superconducting (HTS) filter which has two self-equalized passbands is designed. The two passbands (2.631~2.679GHz and 2.781~2.829GHz) are separated by a stopband (2.681~2.779GHz).The result indicates that the flat group delay is over 60 percent of the passbands.
