Adaptive Transmission for Meteor Burst Communication Base on Variable Rate TPC-RS Codes
According to the principle of meteor burst communication (MBC) and the characteristic of meteor channel
a mechanism for MBC based on adaptive coding transmission is proposed. On account of the system restriction of BER
the adaptive variable data rate transmission can be achieved by estimating the real-time signal-to-noise ratio and changing the coding rate of TPC-RS codes. Simulation results and analysis show that
the proposed adaptive coding tansmission system can obtain 3.68dB system gain when compared with that of the fixed coding transmission system with the BER of 2×10^-4 under the same channel conditions. And the experiment shows that the meteor channel can be fully utilized effectively.
