The High Efficient UPMA+ + Protocol with Improved Throughput
Based on the effective contention access and polling transmission
a novel multiple access protocol—UPMA+ + protocol is proposed.It overcomes the overhead in UPMA (User-dependent Perfect-scheduling Multiple Access) protocol by using collision resolution method and regaining channel resource in time.By employing the limited polling period and adjusting the length of contention access period adaptively
it resolves the conflicts between active nodes and transmission nodes
in which active nodes expect to access the channel quickly and transmission nodes want to transmit packet as soon as possible
thus improving the throughput greatly.Theoretical analytical is given through the queuing theory
and its numerical result is agreed with the simulated result on the whole.
