摘要

本文对一类采用小波变换和IFS（IteratedFractalSystem）分形编码相结合的图像编码方法的结构进行了深入分析

构造了这类算法的基本数学框架

并通过对标准图像内在相关性的统计分析得出了自然图像具有方向自仿射性的结论.同时还对分别属于水平、垂直和对角方向的尺度压缩因子是相互独立的情况进行了编/解码分析

实验证明对不同方向的尺度压缩因子采用不同的编码可使编码质量有较大的提高.

Abstract

In this paper we study how the Fractal Wavelet transforms perform in image compression and give a framework for this class of image coding method.We also treat“horizontal”、“vertical”and“diagonal”scaling factors of quadtrees independently according to the statistic analysis of test image orientation property and get a result in a marked improvement in accuracy with respect to quantization for image compression.
