Abstract
This paper proposes a new minimum shortening channel square error (MSCSE) criterion for optimizing the time domain equalizer in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems.From the new criterion
a very practical algorithm is derived.The paper also proves that the conventional MMSE criterion will be converted into MSCSE criterion on certain conditions.The performance comparisons between different algorithms are carried out.
