The Dispersion Characteristics of a New Type Helical Circular-Arc-Chaped Grooved Slow-Wave Structure
and the dispersion equation of this circuit is obtained by means of an approximate field theory. The dispersion characteristics of the fundamental wave are discussed and the influence of various circuit parameters on dispersion relations is also investigated. The results of the numerical calculation show that it is very useful for improving the bandwidth by diminishing the pitch angle or increasing the arc angle. The present analysis will be helpful on further study and design of this kind RF system used in high power TWT.
