The Effects of Nonlinearity in Frequency Sweep on the Range Precision and Range Resolution of LFMCW Radar
Linear frequency modulation continuous wave (LFMCW) radar has high theoretical range precision and range resolution
but its practical range precision and range resolution will decrease because of its inherent nonlinearity in frequency sweep.This paper analyses theoretically the effects of the nonlinearity on the range precision and range resolution of LFMCW radar according to its echo power spectrum
and gives accurately theoretical grounds for outside correction of the nonlinearity of LFMCW radar.
