摘要

本文定义了一种新的对称变换———方向对称变换，它与常用的广义对称变换相比能够提供更多的信息来描述物体的形状．在此基础上提出了一种快速的人脸定位方法，与应用广义对称变换方法相比不仅可以提高定位准确率，而且能够大幅减小计算量．

Abstract

Face localization is an important basis for automatic human face recognition.In this paper we defined one kind of symmetry transform called Directional Symmetry Transform （DST）

which can provide more information about objects’ shape besides symmetry.Based on it we presented one fast algorithm for eye location.Experimental results proved that better accuracy and shorter computing time can be obtained by using DST than using Generalized Symmetry Transfrom.
