摘要

在过去的几十年里，电磁波在粗糙表面（海平面、粗糙地形、海岸线等）的散射问题在理论上和应用上都得到了长足的发展．在过去的研究中，常常用确定的周期函数和随机函数来作为粗糙表面的数学模型．分形几何的产生和应用为此提供了新的工具．因为分形函数同时具有在大尺度上的有序和小尺度上的无序，所以可以方便地描述确定函数和函机函数或者是这二者适当的组合函数．在这篇论文中，我们采用分形函数来描述粗糙平面，以此为基础来分析和研究电磁波与粗糙面的相互作用．

Abstract

Electromagnetic scattering from rough surface has been investigated in the pastyears. Periodic and random models are often used in modeling the rough surface. Recently

fractalgeometry is rapidly improved. It provides a new way to model the rough surface whose characteristics are long-range order and short-range disorder. Moreover

it can also be used to discribp deterimnistic function

random function or an appropriate blend of these two functions. In this paper

fractal function is used to model the rough surface for investigating the interaction of incident planewave and rough surface.
