The Digital Audio Coding Algorithm Based on the Optimization of Wavelet Bases and Dynamic Bits Allocation
This paper presents a new digital audio coding method based on optimized adaptive wavelet selection and wavelet coefficients quantization procedure
which are developed with the results from psycho acoustic model of masking in human hearing to minimize the number of bits allocated To each frame without perceptual distortion. In addition
the dynamic codebook is adopted to get rid of statistical redundancy. Experiments indicate that the algorithm achieves transparent audio coding of monophonic CD quality at 64 kbps or so.
