A survey of computer-aided filter design is given. The calculation of the transfer function (transducer function)is considered first
and the references with the source programs are listed.In computer-aided LC filter design
the bottleneck is pointed out
and the explicit formulae for all pole filter design are given. For active filter CAD
the rules of program development are discussed. A review of IIR and FIR digital filters is presented and the design of quadrature mirror filter banks is examined.
