Abstract
The exploration of a real method to analyze non-stationary signals and devising a time-frequency representation of signals have steadily developed over the last 40years
and there have recently been significant advance.Moreover
combined with the.wavelet theory
it has initially been developed into a unifying framework
called as the generalized time-frequency representation(GTFR)
which includes the most important distributions.This paper reviews the GTFR and describes the potential of its wide applications by taking some examples of speech analysis.
