Abstract
By discussing efficiency and redundancy of signal-encoding in the 2-3 mixed-valued circuits
the drawbacks of conventional 1T-2B encoding is analysed
the 3B-2T encoding is proposed
and CMOS interface circuits for 3B-2T encoding are designed. The discussion shows that the circuits using 3B-2T encoding scheme have advantages of high efficiency
easy designing and reducing one third of external signal lines with the same internal binary interconnection.
