Cusptron is studied theoretically in this paper. First of all
electron motion in cusp magnetic field is analysed. On the basis of this
the interaction between electron beam and standing wave field is investigated. The interaction between H811 π mode in magnetron structure with sixteen vanes and electron beam at eighth harmonie of the electron cyclotron frequency is calculated numerically at f。 = 35GHz. The influences of electron velocity distribu-tion in the beam
the thickness of beam and BK≠B。 on electron efficiency are taken into consideration.
