A Hybrid Equation Approach for the Scattering Problems Involving Conducting Cylinders Coated with Inhomogeneous Dielectric
A numerical procedure for the solution of scattering problems involving conducting cylin ders of argitrary cross-section shape coated with inhomogeneous dielectric is discussed. The problem is modeled vie a hybrid integral equation/partial differential equation approach.The equations for general three dimentional configurations are reduced to two dimentional cases both for TM and TE illumitions. The method of moments is applied to solve differential equations as well as integral equations. The numerical results are compared with those of the exact solution and good agreement is obtained.
