A multi-function programmable digital radar signal processor which has been developed recently is described. It is composed of adaptive MTI (AMTI) with variable number of pulses
digital pulse compression (DPC)
moving target detector (MTD)
digital integration (DI) and constant false alarm rate (CFAR). The operation mode and parameters of system can be changed flexibly by programming and instruction from radar computer. The system also contains advanced BITE
which can isolate and detect faults on board. The test results indicate that average improvement factors of the system for ground clutter and weather clutter are greater than 53dB and 40dB respectively. Side-lode of DPC is smaller than -40dB. Since the system uses new algorithm and advanced devices and architecture
the operation speed is up to 1148 MIPS. It can be used in 3-D radar systems and many different surveillance radar systems with high performance.
