Robust quantization of data with uncertain statistical properties is considered in the pa-per. Assuming that the data belongs to the S-contaminated class
whose nominal pdf. f0(x) is unimodal and symmetrical about zero
the algorithm for the design of asymptotic minimsx robust quantizer is presented. The characteristics and performance of minimax robust compander for e-contaminated Gamma and Lapla-cian data are given in formulae and tabular forms.
