A canonical biquad structure which consists of single transconductance elements and capacitors is described. This biquad circuit topology is analyzed and various circuits topology and their transfer function
pole frequency
zero frequency and quility factor are given. The gain
frequency and Q of these filters can be controlled
because the value of the transconductance element is controlled with a voltage. As an example
an 8 order 4 section biquad cascaded bandpass filter is designed and simulated with SPICE programm. The result meets the demand for the design.
