Based on a research on binary comparison operations made by the authors

the comparison operations are extended into the ternary logic field further. Some definitions and properties of ternary comparison operations are discussed

and the MOS circuit realizations according to the comparison functions of MOS transistor elements are proposed. The design examples have proved that the capability of processing logic functions is improved by use of the ternary comparison operations

and it may lead to a simpler expression and circuit realization for a ternary function.
