Abstract
The differential phase shift and insert loss and the cutoff wavelength of the LSE20 mode of phase shifter with a symmetrical loaded ferrite toroid placed in the center of a ridge-waveguide are studied. Theoretical differential phase shift is proved to be basically identical with experiment: The transcentental equations of the phase constant and the cutoff wavelength of LSE20 mode
and the insert loss formula for the three cases(ridged
back ridged and rectangular waveguide)are given. In addition
the curve of the relative insert loss ver-sue frequencies for the three different waveguide phase shifters are presented also.
