Abstract
The electromagnetic field distribution in a cylindric cavity with an axial magnetized plasma and the characterstic equation are derived in terms of tensor electrodynamics. The relationship between the resonance frequencies and the density of the plasma is analysed numerically and the qualitative comparison is made with the measured value of a gyromonotron.
