把阻抗转换器的设计转化为关于传播常数的特征方程的求解问题。给出了λ/4阻抗转换器的设计曲线和设计公式。对铁氧体波导移相器的匹配问题进行了实验研究
理论计算与实验结果十分符合
并总结出一些有助于实验调试的规律性结果。理论分析与实验结果表明:采用单阶阻抗转换器可以使铁氧体移相器在10%的频宽内做到VSWR

The wave impedance in a TE10 rectangular waveguide unloaded and loaded with a centred dielectric slab or a ferrite toroid is analysed. An expression for the reduced wave impedance
reduced waveguide wavelength and reduced propagation constant is derived. Thus the design problem of an impedance tranformer is changed into the solution of the characteristic equation for the reduced propagation constant. Experimental research on the matching of the ferrite waveguide phaser is carried out
and good agreement between theory and experiment is obtained. Both the theoretical and experimental results show that by using the one-step impedance transformer
a ferrite phaser with VSWR<1.25 in 10% bandwidth can be realized.
