A series of empirical expressions are presented for calculating the propagation constant and characteristic impedance of the dominant modes in unilateral

bilateral and antipodal finlines. For the most oft-used finlines. results calculated with these expressions agree

generally within ±4.5 percent

with the values given in [2]

[4] and [6]-[10].
