An analysis of coupled cavities in TWT is presented. The analysis employs field equivalence principle in conjunction with Green’s function techniques. The resulting operator equations are solved by the moment method. The charateristics of the coupled cavities are expressed in terms of generalized admittance matrices which are functions both of frequency and dimensions of the system. The results of calculation performed with the aid of an electronic computer agree quite well with those of cold test measurements.
