The band reflection type cavity stabilized Gunn oscillator (BRCO) coupled line length theory of the reference [1] has been modified. The optimum coupled line length of nλg/2±λg/8 so obtained is in good agreement with the experimental results. Based on this modified expression
a simplified design and test procedures have been suggested
and a high stable solid state oscillator with power stability and frequency stability of 2.55×10-3 and 5.8×10-6 respectively at 50GHz has been successfully developed.
