The principle of forming an approximately matched filter with the multipletapped delay lines system to realize the coding pulse compression is briefly described. Experiments on M sequence (N=63) coding pulse compression are given. The compression ratio of the model obtained at the laboratory is 1.2db
less then the theoretical value. As to the compressed waveform
the ratio of the main lobe to the largest side-lobe is 8 db less than that given by the theory. Some problems met with in the course of the experiments are discussed in brief.
