本文在比前人的分析更为普遍的基础上研究了取样显示过程中信号噪声比的提高问题。文章考虑到在取样脉冲宽度中噪声是一个随机过程
而不仅仅把它的影响当作加上一个随机变数
得出了信噪比提高的更精确的公式。计算和实验都证明了由于考虑了这一事实
信噪比提高超过只考虑增加取样次数所能得到的倍数;而且如果信号所带噪声的频宽比信号的频宽宽时
在一定标称频宽下
调整取样头输入网络频宽和取样脉冲宽度可以得到最佳的输出端信噪比。作者还提出对信号进行连续取样的办法
借以消除对周期中空闲都分取样所浪费的时间
缩短取样变换后低频信号的周期。如果把节省下来的时间再行用于信号的积累
则又可以进一步提高信噪比。作者对理论计算进行了实验验证
得到了和理论相符合而令人鼓舞的结果。
The problem of the improvement of signal to noise ratio in the method of sampling display is analysed on a more general basis. The noise within the duration of a sampling pulse is considered as a random process and the general expression for the factor of improvement of signal to noise ratio after the sampling process is obtained
Theoretical calculations and experimental results prove that the factor of improvement is higher than that is estimated by simply considering the effect of the increase in the number of sampling points. If the bandwidth of the incoming noise is greater than that of the signal
the pass-band of the input network of the sampling stage and the width of the sampling pulse may be adjusted for a desirable overall bandwidth of the sampling unit so that the output signal to noise ratio is optimum. The authors also suggest a method of sampling which over-jumps the empty space in the signal period and takes the samples of the signal only. By this method
the period of the low frequency signal may be greatly shortened and the time saved may be used for further integration to improve the signal to noise ratio. Experimental results agree well with the theory and the noise suppression effect of the sampling method is shown to be rather exciting.
