Abstract
The first and second order ion trajectories of the E x B crossed field composed of the parallel plane electric field and the magnetic field with the tilted magnetic pole faces are derived. The first and second order transfer matrixes and the ion optical properties are given for general cases. The dependence of the second order aberrations on geometrical parameters is discussed.
