A Parametric Approach to IIR Digital Filter Design
Based on a continuous-time state-space structure and the generalized bilinear transformation(GBT)
a parameterization for IIR digital filter design is proposed.The cost function can be minimized without stability monitoring because the corresponding stability region is the entire parameter space.Simulation shows that the performance of the filters obtained with the proposed approach is better than that of those designed with an existing one in terms of passband ripple
